Right at our doorstep is a big green Bugyal where we play and have cricket matches in summer.
Gushi Hunting
In the months of spring (April), when mountain snow melts, this exotic mushroom comes to life on the hill slopes irrigated by the morning sunlight. We will take you, to firstly identify them and then bring some with you for a meal of a lifetime.
Local Wild Leaves
We will make you hunt and pluck local spinach-like plants growing close to our house, of which we will cook you a fresh local vegetable.
Just Chill
Sit next to our house, near the mountain stream, listening to the sounds of gushing water and your own thoughts, maybe with a book, to soak in the mountain sun with a fresh cup of tea or coffee.
Local Treks
We will take you to easy local walks, suitable for all ages. A visit to the village of Sarchi and our beautiful temple will be appreciated (30 minutes walk one way). For those who may want to, we can take you up the forested slopes behind our house, all the way to Lambri mountain top at an altitude of 3600 metres (3-4 hours of walk). A good walking stick, normal trainers/walking shoes, light jacket during the months of April to September, water bottle and packed lunch will be all that you would need. You will get stunning views of the mountains and valleys below and it will be a walk of your lifetime.
Batahad Valley
Gentle mountain walk from Gussaini to Batahad village and beyond to Batahad Pass, along the banks of the river. Fortunately one can try trout fishing too.
